Australia commitment to Net Zero

Since the 2015 Paris agreement on climate change there has been a global momentum to reduce the global warming potential and keep the increase in global temperature below 1.5degree C. The Australian government through the Climate Change Act 2022 has committed to achieve net zero by 2050, with an interim target of 43% reduction by 2030 against a 2005 baseline , aligning with many other countries in recognising the importance of addressing climate change.
